Abacus is one of the most brilliant inventions of mankind. We believe the current bead based abacus tool was invented back in 2nd century BCE in China.Since then the tool and the technique has undergone various tweaks. We are currently using the SOROBAN abacus invented by the Japanese.We believe that continuing the traditional Abacus training is the key to unlocking a brighter future for our children even in this age of AI.
Our story
'Wonder minds' Abacus is the brainchild of VG Genius Academy (Ambattur , Chennai) founded in the year 2002 ,by our founder Mrs.Vandana Gobalakrishnan.Since our early days we have been a hub of passionate educators who are constantly trying new teaching techniques in Abacus training.Our team of experienced educators have trained 10000+ students in the past 24 years. Our brand Wonder Minds Abacus has now become the front runner in Abacus coaching in not only India but throughout the globe with the latest addition of online classes. We also have been associated with 50+ schools over the past decade. We are the only Abacus brand which truly emphasizes on daily practice.

We understand that every student is unique and has their own learning style. We analyse the students learning pace and recommend courses based on their adaptability.We currently have three 6 days / 3 days / 2 days class per week. Even if the student is a quick learner we always recommend the 6 class per week which truly emphasizes on daily practice and brings out the best possible results. So even if the child is attending the 2/3 classes per week we insist on practicing at home for atleast an hour under the guidance of their parents. Mental arithmetic skills are gained only through continuous practice. Just like learning any other skill the best way to master it is through continuous training.
